A little bit of our history…
In 2001, founders and current owners Jeff and Michelle moved to Maryland from San Diego where inflatables are rented year round. When they tried to rent one for a party here in Eldersburg, Maryland, they had an incredibly difficult time finding a company that would deliver to them.
Seeing an opportunity to fill a need here in the area, Hopz!! Party Rentals was born. They started with 3 inflatables and worked out of a home office and their garage. In 2002, they added popcorn poppers, cotton candy, and snow cone machines, and in 2003 they added small backyard tents and a few tables and chairs. By the end of their 3rd year, they had grown large enough to warrant being incorporated and Hopz!! Party Rental and Promotions, Inc. was born.
The next few years found them operating out of various warehouse spaces (including the old helicopter hanger at Wolf airfield, Westminster, MD.) In 2008, Jeff left his corporate job and focused strictly on building the business. The vision for the company was moving into larger tents and full scale events. In 2010 they acquired the assets of Kay Lynn’s Party Rental and moved into a combined showroom / warehouse on Fannie Dorsey Road. The building measured 3,000 square feet which they quickly outgrew.
How Elite Tents & Events came to be…
Just 16 months later, they moved to our current location in the heart of Eldersburg, Maryland on South Carroll Park Drive. With the new space came a new name, Elite Tents and Events. The new name was chosen because the focus changed to include more than just moon bounces. The new building is over 8,000 square feet and is quickly filling up as a result of another acquisition. Elite Tents and Events acquired the assets of The Main Event in September of 2014. 2014 was also the beginning of a new facet of the business.

I appreciate the responses to my seemingly endless phone calls as I debated whether or not to get sides for the tent. Please thank whomever made themselves available before your office actually opened on the morning of the wedding so my husband could pick up the sides.
